What did people do the days before headphones and on-the-go music came to be? How did one find any motivation to work out, go run, and do all of that without any good pump-up, feel-good music?! I have no idea how they did it, but I’m so glad we’ve made it this far where we can just plug in a pair of headphones to our phones (err, “connect wirelessly”? #iPhone7 #smh 🙄 #NoThanks), and go for a run. It’s pretty much the only way you’ll get me to work out, so it’s safe to say that music is an extremely important factor to my workout plan. With that said, I wanted to share my motivation with y’all!
I, for one, have a hard time actually working out without a good playlist bumping (loud) in my ears. I’ve noticed that my workouts aren’t as effective when I accidentally forget my headphones at home. Maybe it’s all in my head, IDK, butttt…it’s a done deal, and I’ve correlated the two now. I’ve also noticed that even when I’m struggling with the last quarter of my run and a good upbeat song starts to play, I automatically get a new boost of energy, and somehow the rest of the run doesn’t seem like a drag anymore.
Since music is one of my key motivators in my workout GP, I wanted to share my ever-growing playlist with y’all! It’s a wide variety of upbeat songs, old and new, with some remixes ‘mixed’ in. Basically, anything that’ll get me running a little faster and pumping the iron a little harder. 😉
